Drama Events
NCPC are delighted to be able to offer specially commissioned plays that feature themes around end of life care. The plays do not require a dedicated performance space and can be performed in any sized space. All offer post-performance workshop and discussion.
Ideal for social workers, care and medical staff and university students, these are the perfect complement to enhance the efficacy and outcomes of training or as a stand alone performance.
Homeward Bound – a dramatic piece performed by two actors and based on letters written by Lesley Goodburn to the doctors, nurses and physiotherapists who cared for her husband Seth before his untimely death from pancreatic cancer
Bounce Back Boy – the true story of Josh, a severely disabled boy, told through the very personal accounts and challenges his adoptive mother experienced around 'joined up care' provision. Performed by one actor
Don't Leave Me Now - inspired by two real stories, this play is performed by five actors and explores the impact of early onset dementia on two very different family units. Written from the point of view of the family carer we are taken on a journey of love and loss
