We are looking for a confident, articulate relationship-builder, with experience in policy and campaigning, to join our highly-motivated team working to improve end of life care. The new role of Policy & External Affairs Officer will be a key member of NCPC and the Dying Matters coalition team.

Responsibilities will include representing us externally, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key partners, supporting the delivery of our policy and external affairs work and providing the lead for discrete projects within the team.

The successful candidate will have initiative, an ability to manage a busy and varied workload and prioritise to work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines. Accuracy, attention to detail and strong communications skills will be essential.

Due to the wide ranging nature of NCPC's & Dying Matters’ remit, this role has significant scope for development for the right candidate. This will be a one year fixed term post with the possibility of extending beyond the year and is based at NCPC’s office in London.

The post will be based at NCPC’s office, 4th Floor, 34-44 Britannia Street, London WC1X 9JG (5 minutes walk from King’s Cross) with some travel around London, and occasionally elsewhere within the UK.
