Involving Patients & Carers
NCPC works closely with people who have personal experience of palliative and end of life care. Their expertise informs all aspects of our work.
Our ‘People bank’ includes patients, carers and former carers with experience of a wide range of conditions and places of care. They are involved in many activities including policy work, producing good practice guidance, steering our involvement work and speaking at events (to name just a few).
We have produced guidance to support organisations to involve people with personal experience. In particular, our guide and practical educational toolkit and ‘Getting Started’ can be found on our publications page. Our ‘small is beautiful’ project is an example of an innovative approach to making a real difference to care.
